Ageless at Sixty: About

Welcome!  I’m so glad that you found your way here.  My name is Debby and this blog is about and for anyone who wants to feel ageless at sixty or sixty five, or even seventy and beyond!  I feel so darn good, I can’t wait to share with you, how I got here.  Even if you’re younger, you can come too because after all, you’ll be here before you know it won’t you?

So the plan is to chat with you, sharing my ideas on how to eat right with maximum nutrition and super yumminess as the goal!  To get the right amount of exercise for the shape that you’re in. But always with a plan for doing just a little more as time goes by.

And I’m  looking forward to sharing some of the tweaks to my philosophy of life.  Maybe something I’ve figured out will ring true for you right!

Before we get into it, it’s also confession time!  I have never loved cooking.  But, I’ve learned to produce meals that are so tasty and nutritious and still simple to produce, that I won’t feel at all awkward about passing ideas on to you!

And lastly, I hate exercising.  But I do love feeling fit and strong.  So I grit my teeth and do only as much as I need to.  Helping you figure out how to do that in your life is my project and your project can be ‘you’!

If any of this sounds about right for you, I’d love for you to drop in regularly for one of those great visits!  You know, the kind that always make you feel like ‘we should do this more’.

Now just for the sake of a little background info, I started focusing on being healthier and stronger many years ago.  The catalyst was getting a couple of horses for our little kids.  Because my husband isn’t a ‘horse-y’ sort of guy, I knew that managing our new horsey-girls was going to be up to me and that I’d need a bit of muscle to accomplish that.

Ageless at Sixty

Well the years have passed, the horses have gone on to greener pastures in the sky, but I’m still here, as healthy as ever and still about as strong and all because it became my default way of thinking.

I’ve had my blood tests done, complete panel as they say, because hey, I’m old and that’s what doctors do to us ‘oldsters’.  And I’m happy to report that everything is in fine working order!  Kidney and liver function are perfect, protein levels great, B12 levels right where they should be, inflammation so low as to be almost non-existent!  In fact when my doctor went over things, he said that he wished his were as good!

Consequently, I must be doing something right and that’s what I want to share with you.  I sure hope that you’re ready to ‘pick up’ what ‘I’m putting down’.

As always, I remind you that while I’ve spent the last 20 years focusing on and learning to ‘grow’ my own health, I’m not a medical doctor.  What I’m sharing here is based on my own experiences and the things that I’ve learned from the real experts!  Those are the researchers and doctors who’ve seen the actual patients, worked in the labs and write the medical reports.

My goal is to motivate and help you find your best way to live a healthier and more peaceful life.  I and Ageless at Sixty cannot be held liable for any resulting injury or adverse change in health status.
